¡°Shi Family¡¯s Pottery¡± created on 1991, it¡¯s the first institution studying the ceramics in China. The creator Mr. Shi Dun, is son of the well-known Artist of seal cutting and handwriting Mr. Shi Ke. Under his father¡¯s guideline, he is keeping searching the skill of the traditional pottery making with thousands of history, and uses what he has learnt , syncretize his unique creative idea, His works show us not only the full-bodied traditional culture, but also the modern style. His works were called as ¡° Cai Wen Pottery¡±, that is with colorized grain, ¡°Kai pian Pottery¡± that is with imbricate pieces, ¡° Xiang Qian Pottery¡± that is with inlaid pieces, and ¡°Fang Mu Pottery¡± which looks like wooden products.
¡°Shi Family¡¯s Pottery¡± series inherits the arts and crafts of the regions along Yellow River, and make the density of the clay by modern technic. The flan is made by hand using which is unique in this field. And the temperature is strictly controlled during the firing. That makes the products traditional taste but with modern shape. Good decoration with high taste and with high value of collection.
